White stork
The white stork, also known as the rattling stork, is a bird species from the stork family. It was Bird of the Year in Germany in 1984 and 1994. White storks are about 80 to 100 cm long and have a wingspan of about 200 to 220 cm. Except for the black wing feathers the plumage is pure white. Beak and legs are reddish. White storks have a weight of about 2.5 to 4.5 kg.
