Candace Hicks, Coincidence

Candace has collected coincidences for ten years. It started when she read two books in a row that both included the phrase “antique dental instrument.” While that was not the first coincidence she ever noticed in her reading, that singular instance convinced her to keep a record. Candace began to consider that the phrase might have been the profound masquerading as the mundane. Or not.

In Coincidence Candace continues her exploration of the phenomena of reoccuring events. Candace begins her story by trying to understand what coincidence means by definition and how this idea can be challenged. This simple question carries her through many subjects, revisting her interest in Napoleon and finding new points of interest in her child's singing, movies, her friend's experiences and so on.
