A view from Dover, over Port Esperance, out to the D'entrecasteaux Channel and beyond to the southern part of Bruny Island. Hundreds of seagulls congregate on the jetty in the foreground.

Nice,Steve. We were there last year and I took a shot not dissimilar to this. A local in the pub, where we spent a peaceful hour gazing on this beautiful scene. said that the three islands are called "faith"," hope", and "charity".

I always wanted to live on an island - "Hope" would do nicely!

    Spot on Peter,
Left to Right in the pic Charity, Faith and Hope [ only see part of ]..
Nice pub Peter, did they still have all the brewing equipment in there then? When I visited a few years back they had an incredible brewery inside the pub. Stainless steel vats and equipment for all to see, lots of money was spent altering the pub and installing all this gear. Then it all disappeared again, can't imagine how much money was lost in this and then the pub reverted to what it was, except with the changes in internal layout !!. Not sure if they ever got the brewary working even. I think the locals would be happy as I don't thin k they were too happy with all the changes.

Wise real estate choice there Claire!!, seems Hope is quite a bit larger than Faith and Charity!!.

There was no brewing equipment in sight, Steve. The bar was being cleared for a wood chopping championship in the evening. We had a couple of beers and headed back to Geeveston.
