Hill Inlet Whitehaven

The lookout at Tongue Point looking over Hill Inlet to Whitehaven Beach is one of the most stunning in all of Queensland.

 

Our day trip boat in the Whitsunday Islands only stopped here for an hour or so and this included disembarking in little dinghies as there are no piers on Whitsunday Island - still completely natural.

 

I made sure I was on the first dinghy to the island and lterally ran up the track to the lookout to ensure that I had maximum time to capture the view without the hordes of people!

 

The tide plays a big part in these scenes with the retreating tide revealling wonderful white sandy swirls and varying shades of blue.
