A little while ago, this deer came regularly to the yard. He is a small buck without his antlers at the time of his occurence to the yard. My grandparents noticed that he had a whole patch of fur completely missing on the back of his neck. We dont really know what could have caused it, bet we are thinking it either a virus that this guy got an lost and this could have been a side effect, or he could have tried to get under smething but was a bit to big.
I havn't seen him around lately, but that could either mean that it grew back with his summer coat, or he could have left this area to be on his own as bucks usually do in the summer.
Would you guys have any idea on how this happened, or what could have caused it?
