Space Between
Space Between Laboratorium
25 May - 2 June 2007

Locations: Beeldmedia Studio, AHK, Theatrum Anatomicum (Waag Society), streets of Amsterdam, dataspace

The Space Between is an intensive eight-day laboratorium for students of the MA Dance Unlimited programme of the AHK, students from the HKU and invited guests. The lab will focus on exploring and challenging the relation of the artist, performer and spectator to urban topologies of space and place.

The Lab will be co-hosted by artist Michelle Teran and Sher Doruff (Waag Society) with a special guest lecture on Hybrid Space by theorist Eric Kluitenberg (de Balie) on 26 May. Waag Society’s technical team will lend support throughout the week in building and modelling performative systems for GPS data, wireless Arduino boards with input and output devices and interactive, high definition streaming techniques. Additional support will be provided by the Dance Unlimited tech team and artist/technician Nancy Mauro Flude.
