Menendez, Colleagues, NJ Actress Diane Guerrero Unveil Bicameral Bills to Establish National Smithsonian American Latino Museum
U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), the most senior Latino member in Congress, is joined by a bipartisan group of lawmakers and New Jerseyan actress Diane Guerrero of Orange Is The New Black and Jane The Virgin to unveil a bicameral legislation authorizing a National Smithsonian American Latino Museum. This bill’s introduction will start the process of securing a location on the National Mall for the site, crucially advancing a process that has had national public support for more than a decade. An American Latino Museum would rightfully place the history and legacy of the community who—as one-sixth of the population—are an integral part of both the nation’s heritage and its future.
