86246, 47596 Liv St 5-7-85

Liverpool Street was in the early stages of rebuilding in 1985 but this scene taken on 5 July 1985, taken from behind the buffer stops of the long platforms 9 and 10 (once known as "the backs" and from which a connection to the Circle Line once existed) is still largely unchanged, apart from the "new" class 86!. This area now forms part of the concourse and the platforms were shortened such that the buffer stops were in line with all the other platforms.
