Summer Interlude

I added a little definition depth to the white flower. If I did not added some exposure additives, I would have ended up with a plain, redundant white flower. So, I went for the extreme DOF (125 shutter speed at f\22). That was the reflected light source from the flower as I metered in on it.

At that setting, that background would turn black, is what I wanted. Prior to taking the shot, I decided to under exposed the shot and selected f\32 at 250 {shutter speed.} The flower was barely visibly during post processing.

Without increasing added light to the flower, I selectively increased contrast without losing DOF definition and reduced the bright white of the flower to a less consistency to add drama character.
