"LoL Spiders" never really would catch on... September 2012
This cheeky chappie turned up on my lemon balm plant a few nights ago. Took me a few nights of spotting him up there on top of my lemon balm to actually go and get a camera. Glad I did in the end. No idea what he is - or indeed whether he is a juvenile, as I suspect.
Shot on the Nikon D3100 with a Nikkor 55mm micro f/2.8 on a Kenko 3x Teleconverter on 68mm of extension tubes, with an external tethered ring flash about a palm's width away to the left of the subject (strobist info). Subject is about 2mm wide between the eyes. Set-up gives almost 3:1 macro.
