Ko Phi Phi Ley - another day another dollar.

Phi Phi Ley Island is one of the finest islands in the world for beauty. The limestone cliffs rise straight out of the Andaman Sea, they are covered in rainforest and apart from this (almost hidden) exit, they completely surround the bay.

The water in the bay is amazing, it consists of two colours, blue or green. The water in this bay has the most vivid colour(s) I have ever seen anywhere in the world. The coloration is attributed to the proliferation of plankton in the bay.

There is an extremely deep area In the middle of the bay; originally this was thought to be the core of a volcano, but in recent times they have discovered an underwater cave and the roof of that cave has collapsed.

When you arrive in this secluded bay for the first time the view just takes your breath away, it is without doubt the most beautiful & tranquil site that I have ever seen, truly a idillic paradise.
