Reflections of Reims

The cathedral of Reims.

Notre-Dame of Reims is one of the most beautiful gothic cathedrals in France. Built in the 13th century on the location where the pagan king Clovis was baptised by bishop Saint Remigius in 496, marking the conversion of the Franks to Christianity, it became the church where the French kings were anointed and crowned. The cathedral is a treasure trove of medieval architecture and sculpture (with well over 2.000 images), and has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage site since 1991.
