Day 248 - Creation Holds its Breath

    Newer Older

Day 10,472. There is a moment in every dawn when light floats; there is the possibility of magic. Creation holds its breath.

I awoke this morning to more snow than I've seen in years and thought it was just so beautiful. When I got to school, I found all the lights out and a large group of students and faculty standing randomly in the entryway of the administration building. None of us knew what to do, so we all just stood and talked. It was really neat. After the lights finally came on, the thing that I have been nervous about all weekend happened and the outcome was better than I could have hoped for.

This day was unlike anything I've ever experienced.

Hey. Wow ! This one's absolutely awsome. (I'm sorry my English is so poor). It has some kind of a dreamy quality. And the snow looks sort of fake. Seems like a "studio" shot from a Spielberg movie. I just love it !

I used to live in the Montagne Apartments directly behind you in this foto. Chilly memories. Glad I experienced MSLA in the 80s, but walking across that bridge in a snowstorm was life-threatening (Winter '88, lowest low pressure zone ever recorded -- I'm sure they're still talking about it there -- un-friggin-real). Thanks for the snowy reminder. I do enjoy my SF temps.
