Pied leucistic American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis)

Caught this beauty at one of our bird feeders during the fall. It is an adult female goldfinch (non-breeding) and as you can see, it has a white patch on it's head and above the beak because it is pied leucistic. It is the reduction of pigmentation that causes this.
