Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata) male in eclipse
The Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata) is a medium-sized perching duck, closely related to the North American Wood Duck. These are normally very colorful waterfowl but this male is in eclipse plumage. He still has a sweet looking face.
