Actually, as I was on a bicycle, I only had two choices.
Actually, I didn't choose any of them. I went back the way I came. I didn't have my map and had no idea where I was.
I wanted to explore the Norton Green area since months ago and seeing that Mr Pawpawsaurus went there recently prompted me to go that way. I didn't follow the road to Noron Green though, I went in the opposite direction out of curiousity. I ended up following a byway (open to all traffic) and I had no idea in what direction I was heading. I decided to go as far as I could and I thought I might end up in Langley. I stopped when I reached this sign, and up ahead of me was a tractor of some kind and some geese, so I knew I'd reached a farm, and with all the routes going all over the place, I thought it best to just return, so I turned around and went all the way back.
After that I did head down past Norton Green and had a quick look at Norton Green Common, as I had forgotten what it was since I was last there late last summer.
When I got home I looked at my map and realised that the farm ahead of me by this sign was actually Pigeonswick Cottage, which means if I had carried on and followed the byway (red arrow), I'd have ended up passing Norton Green Common and gone around in a circle! So next time maybe that's what I'll do!
The byway, by the way (!), is called Kitching Lane.
