Califone 1030AV/1035AV Monaural Phonograph
My friend Suze, who is a teacher in Brooklyn, discovered this record player hanging around her school, about to be tosed in the garbage. She cided to rescue it.
There is always something wonderful about the way electronics for big institutions were designed and engineered. They have a utilitarian, almost 70's communist feel to them aestethically. Engineering wise they're almost always overbuilt and tend to last and run forever, no matter how much abuse you heap on them.
This is a Califone 1030AV/1035AV Monaural Phonograph. I don't much else about this record player, but I love the design. It also plays disks at 78 RPM, which is a little uncomon. It also plays records at 16 RPM which is quite uncommon.
