Garage of Statues in Bensonhurst

I don't know what to say about this strange and wonderful home, which is located on an otherwise quiet and nondescript residential street in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. We were taking a ride through South Brooklyn and decided to take a detour to check out this place and see if the rumors were true. There were and it exceeded expectations.

The outside of the home is covered in very large statues of pop culture icons: Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Superman, Betty Boop, The Blues Brothers and many others. There were various snarky signs, vintage Brooklyn store signs, animal statues hidden in the trees, and garage full of wonder.

We happened to be passing by on Memorial Day, and the owners had loudspeakers playing WW II era music, along with vintage commercials and radio speeches. This place is truly weird, wonderful and well done.

I bet their neighbors LOVE them.
