Taken Piddles Wood Reserve, Dorset. This is an ancient woodland where the White Admiral and Silver-Washed Fritillary can be found. This was an earlier visit than i would normally make due to reports of early emergence of summer butterflies. I found a few White Admiral on the wing. I didn't see any Fritillaries but I'm sure it wont be too long before they will be flying around this lovely woodland. I have included a number of shots of the butterflies encountered today.
