DIY Dog Tuxedo - Part 6/6

To use:

 

I use small black binder clips to attach the top edges of the black part of the tux to a simple black quick-release collar. As I only use this collar for props/costumes, it stays neat and clean.

 

Once the vest is clipped to the collar, you can remove each outer binder clip pin (the shiny metal bit) and fold the inner one down behind the vest as shown in the clip on the right.

 

I can use this quick and easy method, because my boys have heavy ruffs that obscure much at the top.

 

If my dog was smooth coated, I would consider adding a pair of felt strips to each side of the vest in back to act as guides to slip the collar through.

 

And the final product?

 

Since I used white glue you'll have to wait until tomorrow, when it's dry, to see it being modeled. :)
