Fireworks and Bay Bridge
About a month ago, I learned that there would be a fireworks show after the Giants game last week on Friday, and I circled that date in my calendar. As the evening approached, I realized that the fog was most likely going to scuttle my plans. I didn’t want to give up on the shot, so I headed over to Treasure Island to await the end of the game (which seemed to drag on for longer than expected). Shortly before 10pm, the lights in the stadium turned off, and the fireworks show began.
Once the fireworks began shooting off into the night sky, I realized that they were much smaller than I had anticipated. I was also situated just a little too far from the ball park to make the fireworks the center of attention. As I cleared my lens of drizzle, I decided to go for a wide angle photo of the Bay Bridge with some small fireworks in the background. I am quite pleased with the results. I like the steely grey colors that came out in the fog. When compared to a similar photo I took on June 1st, the mood is almost a polar opposite. I hope you enjoy.
