I've been experimenting with post processing - trying to learn more about layers and different impacts you can have on them. The original picture this is based on has some flaws which I can't get rid of (the most noticeable being the darkness in the eye) but it offered some editing potential and was me shooting portrait type photos using natural lighting.
The editing this went through....
Cropped to remove a lot of the shadows and different backgrounds.
I sharpened the image.
Added a layer to apply a split tone type effect.
I've added a layer to apply a texture to the image (the texture is actually the wallpaper in my hall).
Whilst it's a shame to lose the colour in Zack's coat, I think I like the impact the processing has had on this picture.
I'd welcome feedback on the process and thoughts on what I could maybe do differently or have done better.
