The Thinker, Rodin (1880)

This sculpture has come to sumbolize all creative thought. Rodin first imagined The Thinker as a small, central figure near the top of 'The Gates Of Hell' (based on The Inferno, an epic poem by Dante). This bronze cast of Auguste Rodin's gravesite was made in 1925.
