The "First" of Many
Finally, after years of drooling over the Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 APO EX DC OS lens, I found a good deal for it and just had to take it. Now I know there are newer telephoto lenses, but frankly, I can't pass up on the price for this and using DX cameras makes it act as a 70-200mm lens with the crop factor and all. So this is all I need. Plus it compliments my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC prime lens. All that is left to complete MY VERSION of the Holy Trinity of Sigma lenses is a 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM lens.
It may not be a proper "Trinity" since the 30mm will overlap teh 17-50mm focal length, typically you'd want a wide angle lens to cover the more closer lengths, but I just can't part ways with the 30mm as it was with me for years and it was a gift from my mother. So it means so much more to me. Thus I will have MY VERSION of the Trinity of lenses with a prime lens.
HERE! Who better to be my subject for my first few shots using my new Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 lens than my very own lovely mother! =]
Definitely a first of many wonderful portraits with lens, not limited to my friends or family... but the whole world is my model.
