A Very Robust Clivia... June 2012.

Clivia robusta is found growing in (usually) swampy forested areas in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Known as the Swamp Clivia it has earned its scientific name in being a robust species whose leaves can attain a height of up to two meters under ideal growing conditions. The plant adapts well to growing as a containerised plant and is propagated from offsets or the much slower method of seed.
