This was taken back when we went to the beach...I wish we could go to the beach every day! I forgot the exact circumstances that led to him being so relaxed, but I think it was the combination of warm sun, slight breeze, soothing ocean sounds and beachy smells. Oh and being held. :)
I've always been taught to hold small animals with two hands...one hand for the body and one hand for the butt. However, Flint likes the one arm hold where he's directly in front (like a baby) and your forearm is tucked slightly below his ribs. He seems pretty content having his hind legs dangle. I guess this is because it leaves my other hand free to do things like open the fridge to get him some snacks.
And if you hold him long enough, he will start to fall asleep and his head will sometimes drop straight down. But more often than not, it will go way off to one side and then he'll start bending at the waist and you'll feel him become very heavy. All 6 lbs of him, haha.
Don't know how dogs get away with sleeping in bendy positions, but they can get away with it since they have live-in masseuses right?
