Atlas Moth

The Atlas moth (Attacus atlas) is considered to be the largest moth in the world with a wing span of 25 - 30 cm. It inhabits the rain forests of Asia and this newly emerged specimen hangs from a tree, drying its wings prior to taking its maiden flight.
