Rose, rainbow and hexagons

Somebody left the bloom of a rose where I was passing by during my evening photo tour in Cologne. In the background you see the early sunset shining through the architecture of the bridge.

I dedicate this rose to all you who share lovely and beautiful and artistic and fascinating photos with me via flickr!

I apologize I have been rather passive during the last three or so weeks. Did mainly old-school black-and-white processing at home in my (bath-)darkroom. I really need to scan some of these photos, too. Anyhow, I think while color photos are okay on a computer screen, much of the quality is lost if you compare a black-and-white print on an Ilford photographic paper, home-developed, and a scanned BW negative on the screen. I am astonished myself... that is why I am fascinated by - and that is the point - otherwise time consuming manual processing of my photos.

Now I have done enough BW - need to see some daylight again :-) and will post some of my color film photos. ... see :-)
