Jilguero Grande / Thick-billed Siskin / Spinus crassirostris

Uncommon and pretty local, this is the most hard to see Chilean siskin. Could be confused with two species: Hooded Siskin and Yellow rumped Siskin. Note the bill's size and shape, the greenish back. and the greyish flanks (close to wings edge). Lives in Central Chile, close to El Juncal Private Park (2.000 mt - 3000 mt) and in north CHile, at higher altitudes (3.800 mt - 4.800 mt.).
