Why Red Squirrels are Sometimes Hard to see (1)

I happened to find this little chap on Brownsea Island, and he seemed tamer than most. In total, he kept me entertained for 35 minutes, and these are the best pictures which resulted!

I've never seen a squirrel dig up, and eat, so much. However, whilst he seemed happy for me to be about 10/15 feet away, he insisted on sitting in the bracken for most of the time.

Anyone passing by, would not have seen him. I only did as he was about 5 feet from the path, and he moved as I walked past.
