Reflection

blogged: www.shecanquilt.ca/2014/03/reflection-ta-da.html

Reflection is made of many different fabrics using my friend Linda Rotz Miller's Linda Rotz Miller Quilts & Quilt Tops blended scraps block. I bound her with scraps of the fabrics used in the quilt. After washing she is about 53" square. I quilted Reflection on my new long arm machine using hand guided fmq with a goal to having a modern but easy pattern. The stitching in the ditch between the diamonds was also done freehand as I do not yet have a ruler set and although it is wobbly I like that for this industrial modern quilting style.

Linda says the block is an adaptation of a block from Maaike Bakker's book Strip Pieced Quilts
