180221-N-YG414-058 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 21, 2018) - Electronics Technician 2nd Class Benjamin Richardson, from Belfair, Wash., fires a 9mm handgun during a live-fire exercise at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. All Sailors attached to USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) are required to participate in live fire weapons training before being qualified to stand armed watches. Blue Ridge and her crew have now entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
