Summer of the Dead by Kathryn Usher
You can't spend all summer conducting ghost hunting walking tours in the oldest cemetery in town and not have some of that rub off.
My piece for the Day of the Dead show Conchita Iglesias-McElwee is putting on at the Jackrabbit Lounge.
Show opens Friday. Be there.
Made from reclaimed building materials from the Highland neighborhood, blue glass bottles, and reclaimed cotton and linen.
The headstone photos are from Shreveport's oldest cemetery. Oakland is located near the Municipal Auditorium. Down at the bottom there's a repeating row of part of the steeple at First United Methodist Church.
