000: The Fairy- Tale Weaver (Re-release for Empyrean)

So, as you can see this is a re-release, the reason why I am releasing this image again is because I am starting a new project, and I am shooting the very first "character"/ concept tomorrow. I wanted to link the blog and stream in where I will be sharing all the details of the series.....

I wanted to bring this up now, as I wanted others to be able to read about the project before I start it so people can see why I am doing what I am doing. In this photographic world "fairytale" images tend to be getting bigger and bigger and as much as I love this, I also find when you get stuck into this genre others start to judge and compare. I'm also finding that many people receiving my work get confused at times, with what it is that I focus on. I love fashion, but also want to be more of a conceptual artist. I have always loved creating things since a young age, and I want to be able to throw as much of myself into my work. Fashion is such a fast passed industry where you are constantly pleasing others. When you start a personal project it can be therapeutic and good for the soul, and that is why I am doing what I am doing. My series will try to merge the worlds I love the most, fashion and fantasy! With inspirations by some of my favs like Tim Walker and Cecil Beaton. This is a journey for me, and since I have finally finished my two year college program (in Applied photography) I find I finally have time to create and shoot the things I really want to!.....

So with this image, I have always seen this image in this series, and this series is something that has been developing in my head since 2008, but I can finally jump into it. So this image will fit into the series (Empyrean) and the first concept that will open the series will be coming soon. I hope you will follow my journey. And I hope that people will understand that inspiration comes from many places, we as artist see what we love and re-create and this series will pay homage to some of my favourite photographers and artists. You will see as the series moves into the direction I hope that it will...

Thanks so much,
