Is drinking hot coffee a poison to the human body ? Article part 1 of 2
First lets define what a poison is as described by the on line dictionary Wikipedia
Poisons are substances that cause disturbances to organisms usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism such as the human body.
Poisons are most often applied in industry, agriculture and other uses for other reasons than their toxicity. Pesticides are one application where they are indeed used for their toxicity.
In 2013 unintentional poisonings resulted in 98,000 deaths down from 120,000 deaths in 1990
The 4th leading cause of death in the United States of America is caused from the abuse and use of pharmaceutical drug therapy so you must ask yourself if wikipedia has included this grim statistic in their report findings? The FDA is not testing drugs for efficacy but more for toxicity to the human body so these approved drugs are technically classified as poisons to the human body . Just it may take a long time like years to have organ failure or out right die from overdose does not mean that the drug is less than a poison to the human body .

The Pros of Hot Coffee Drinking ?
First chef Barry must point out that after reading through many of the resource links he is perplexed at reading all the old school out dated data for example .
Recent studies show that it is indeed free form calcium depositing inside the arteries that is the real culprit for Heart Disease and Atherosclerosis and not the cholesterol theory that the cholesterol lowering drug industry wants you and every one else to believe.

Drinking four cups of coffee every day can decrease a woman's risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by more than half, according to a new study.
And the researchers say they've uncovered the reason why the new findings and other research have suggested a link between java and diabetes. They found that coffee raises the amount of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) in the blood, and higher levels of SHBG are known to lower the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
It's likely something in the coffee besides the caffeine — or something about coffee drinkers that confers these protective effects, said James D. Lane, an associate research professor at Duke University Medical Center, who was not involved with the study.
Although, "it's impressive to find these new things," Lane told MyHealthNewsDaily, more research is needed to confirm the link.
The study is published in this month's issue of the journal Diabetes.
The more coffee you drink, the lower your diabetes risk?
In the new study, researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles, compared the medical histories and coffee-drinking habits of 359 women who had diabetes with those of 359 healthy women over 10 years. They used information from the Women's Health Study, run by the National Institutes of Health.
Women who drank four cups of caffeinated coffee a day had higher levels of SHBG and were 56 percent less likely to develop Type 2 diabetes than women who don't drink coffee, the researchers found.
And the more coffee the women drank, the more their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes dropped, the study said.
Furthermore, when the researchers took into account the women's SHBG levels, they found that it was coffee's effect on SHBG levels that was making the difference in diabetes risk. SHBG regulates the levels of sex hormones in the blood.
Previous work had suggested a link between SHBG and diabetes.
A 2009 study in the New England Journal of Medicine, done by one of the researchers of the new study, showed that higher levels of SHBG in the blood were associated with a lower risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
Past evidence of protection
A causal link between SHBG, diabetes and coffee — which contains many compounds — is not clear, Lane said. For example, he pointed to a 2004 study in journal Diabetes Care, which showed that caffeine is harmful to people with Type 2 diabetes, because it hinders the breakdown of glucose.

4-Coffee improves brain function in humans ?
As the report states the following Coffee and tea do more than keep you awake in the mornings studies have shown they may prevent Alzheimer's disease and improve cognitive function.
A 2010 study in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease found that when researchers gave caffeinated coffee to mice genetically engineered to develop Alzheimer's disease, the disease either slowed in progression or never developed. Based on the finding, coffee eventually could serve as a therapeutic treatment for people with Alzheimer's disease, the researchers said.
Tea showed protective effects on the brain, too. Tea drinkers did better on tests on memory and information processing than non-tea drinkers did, according to a 2010 study of 716 Chinese adults 55 and older in the Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging.

5-Coffee Reduces prostate cancer risk in humans?
Regular coffee intake (either caffeinated or decaffeinated) is associated with a decreased risk of deadly prostate cancer, according to a study published today (May 17) in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
