Private Arthur B. Murray of Company G of the 38th Illinois Infantry. The 38th Illinois Infantry was organized at Camp Butler, Illinois and mustered in on August 15, 1861. They mustered out on December 31, 1865. They were at Corinth, Perryville, Chickamauga, New Hope Church, Peach Tree Creek, Franklin, Nashville, and other battles. The regiment lost 7 Officers and 107 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 3 Officers and 177 Enlisted men by disease for a total of 294.
