Ascend Quilt Top #1

    Newer Older

Lap Sized Quilt Top from Emily Cier's Pattern - Ascend.
    Top is approximately 59 1/2" x 71"
Fabrics are Moda Bella Solids, Citrine, Off White, Peacock, Berrylicious & Wisteria.
Pattern & fabrics from CityCraft citycraftonline.com/
This is the first of two of these tops & this one is much more girly than the other.
All the pieces are cut from 2 1/2" strips, so the pattern is easy but, since it's sewn together on the diagonal, those really long 86" seams in the center did get a bit tedious.
Not quite sure how I will quilt this one.

What a bold quilt top. I don't know how I would quilt it either but it could handle some loopy designs.

Great quilt. I bought this pattern but haven't started it yet. Have you considered quilting each color different? Like in "Free-Motion Quilting with Angel Walters" book. It's a really nice book.

I love that! The zig zags are wonky, which I'm really digging. Great colors too.
