Chocolate cake. The "frosting" is actually solid chocolate melted and poured over the cake. In-between layers of the chocolate cake was a tasty raspberry mixture.
This was dessert at the "Brosshaus Dinner". Friends had graciously invited us to accompany them to a home-cooked meal that they had won in a charity auction. The meal was prepared using traditional recipes from Germany. Other delicacies included roasted beef, red cabbage, raspberry applesauce, potato pancakes, and some delicious wine selections.
