Jason Franklin H20 Permit
Just got back from Ascension bay chasing the elusive permit. Tom Rosenbauer was kind enough to set me up with the new Helios 2 9 wt and mirage V reel. An extremely well balanced outfit that easily performed the accurate presentations often needed in Permit fishing. The New Helios 2 has gone up a couple of gears and not only does it provide balanced, vibration free smooth casting it also holds up well to the more rugged fishing often experienced when chasing permit. The rods fish fighting ability was exceptional and easily handled the added pressures of using 15-20 lb test tippet. As did the mirage. This will certainly be a first choice set up for chasing permit.
