This is classic. I think everyone has some memory of Woolworth.

Pretty sad to have a postcard of Woolworth. Can you image the vacation where you said "I've just got to send this postcard to Aunt Beckie."?

There's a postcard in the book Boring Postcards USA of the Woolworth's in Hibbing, Minnesota. I think this might be the same postcard.

I remember Woolworth's as a dime store but a classy department store? I lived in the wrong part of the country.

The Woolworth's in Downtown Crossing, Boston held on for quite a while. Now it's a Marshall's (I think.)

I wouldn't go as far as calling it a classy department store, but at one point when Wolworth's started going into small counuty-seat-townmalls as an anchor, they did upgrade a bit and had a department store look.

I just found a Woolworth's shopping cart at work! It has this same logo on the handle.
