Deep-Sea Fishing Off San Diego
When we went to San Diego, California, last summer, my Dad took me and my brother on our first deep-sea fishing trip. We left in the evening and slept on the boat, then fished the next day before heading back to port that night. Our boat had a fairly successful trip, with most people catching at least one fish. We were mostly catching albacore tuna, but one guy caught a yellowfin tuna. I only caught one albacore, but my brother caught three, which gave us about 15 pounds of fish. In this photo, one of the deck hands is hauling in another fisherman's catch.
When we got back from vacation, my Dad grilled some of our catch. It was the best fish I've ever had! Nothing I've ever had at a restaurant even came close to how good this fish was.
