Random Iowa Bald Eagle

68.366: In my previous photo I mentioned I traveled out to a random location in Iowa along the Mississippi River in order to see if any bald eagles in the area. The risk of getting stuck on a dirt road out in the middle of no where was totally worth the attempt because there was one sitting on the tree along the road, about maybe 50ft? I enjoyed the time just admiring the bird as it watched me watching it. Sometimes you have to live without looking through the lens. :)

Again, I'm not happy with how the eagle photos look at 100% but it's not *as* bad re-sized, I suppose. The 70-300 @300 get's a little too soft and chromatic abrasions (green and purple lines) are apparent. Never thought to look at Elements 10 to see if they have a way to reduce it. But anyway, this shot I had "planned". I had noticed at a previous locations that they had a tendency to bob their heads, while perched, before taking off. This guy did the same before turning around and opening his wings.
