Unfortunately, these were not meringues of my childhood. Those were light and airy, like biting into sugary fluffy cloud. Mine, sadly, were pathetic little flat things, air-deficient and two-dimensional. They were tasty, but meringues they were not. If anyone has any tips on how to make them stand on their own, without adding any thickeners, please share!
