    Indestructible ~ Disturbed

A bit of my favorite harder, darker, and angrier music...Disturbed is also my son's favorite band.

Today is bittersweet, as it marks the official end to the US mission in Iraq. My husband spent 16 months in Iraq, often working hand in hand with its citizens. We knew far too many men and women who lost their lives in that conflict, so many families (on both sides) ripped apart and destroyed. It's a period in our lives that will forever scar our hearts...

A few more by Disturbed...originals and some killer covers:
      Land of Confusion (Genesis cover)
Living After Midnight (Judas Priest cover)
Darkness - a surprisingly soft, beautiful, melodic, very unDisturbed-like song

Fantastic work yet again Malinda.... and interesting to read that your Husband severed in Iraq. I can appreciate what a time and experience that must have been for him and for you! My Sister and her children are BIG fans of Disturbed. She saw them in Germany a couple of years ago at a festival and was thrilled! Thanks for sharing these great clips and your story too! %-)

Very powerful image, great use of texture and anonymity to create a haunting image that really illustrates your words and choice of music

Sometimes we need the "Angry" music, I feel like it today... I just found out that my mom has cancer... and I'm so far away.... I feel like screaming!

Often music expresses emotions that we cannot say in words. This obviously does it for you. Glad to hear that your husband is safely home and as Marty said, it is an angry world out there. Sorry for the loss of your friends..

Barbara, it is so hard to know that your mum is ill and you cannot get to her. I experienced this with my 2 grans. I live in South Africa and they lived in Scotland. I wept many tears not having money to get on a plane. I really hope with all my heart that you can get to see her soon. Mums are precious.

Very evocative. I was thinking "Heavy Metal" when I first saw it then I read your words. Yes it makes for a hard yet heartbreaking image. Well Done.
