From the outside, you'd never believe that all THIS could possibly be inside.

Is there any picture showing the time of the "Rainbow" inside?
Would love to get a link or a good picture from that era...

I saw 1 rock show there with the Joshua lightshow providing an amazing backdrop within an unique environment

I saw Mary Poppins and The Dambusters here. The memory as a kid of looking up at those little moorish houses (my dad couldn't afford tickets for the balcony) and wondering if people actually lived in them will stay with me for ever.

I saw the 1963 Beatles Christmas concert here as well as many movies when I was a boy. It was always such a treat to visit this atmospheric theatre with the Goldfish pond in the foyer.

My mum used to work here as an usherette and cleaner of that little city above the stage. When I was small I'd keep looking at that area hoping to see whoever lived up there!
On 4th November 1971, when I was 16, I saw The Who on the opening night of the Rainbow. The audience sat there the whole night, politely clapping - I don't know what they thought they were going to see or what the Who made of them!
