Metrosideros 12 (Young growth is densely covered with white hairs, which are easily rubbed off; petioles are relatively long)

Family: Myrtaceae - the myrtle family

Habit: a shrub or a small tree.

Habitat: dry to mesic-wet, forest and shrubland.

Native, endemic.

 

Range beyond O`ahu: ? Range on O`ahu: Ko`olau Mountains and the Wai`anae Mountains.
