Minuteman Statue by Daniel Chester French

During the 70s, this statue was almost destroyed by a bomb that was left at its base, probably in protest against the war in Vietnam. Shortly thereafter, the statue was removed and a plaster replica was made, so that if anything ever happened to the original, a new statue could be cast. This statue is well-known in Massachusetts.
