US Navy photo -USS Pennsylvania
The USS Pennsylvania was commission by the United States Navy in 1916. She was dry docked at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, and survived the attack. The 'Pennsy' went on to participate in landings from the Aleutians to the island of Okinawa and suffered damage from torpedo hits in August of 1945. Artifacts from the USS Pennsylvania can be found on Penn State's University Park campus and in nearby Boalsburg, Pa.
