Reverend T.T. Rose recorded several brilliant gospel songs on the Paramount label including 'Goodbye Babylon' and 'Roll the Old Chariot Along.' Reverend Rose used his high-energy music and lyrics to try to make a difference in the struggle for Civil Rights. He walked away from recording in 1930 to become a leader, and later Bishop, in the Church of God in Christ.
