WIllow Tree Log, Sprouting

    Newer Older

The willow tree logs are still there from a year back. One of the logs has refused to die, and has sprouted growth. I'm tempted to bury it in the ground, to let it try to grow into a tree. Why not?

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I have always loved big trees. At one time this was a massively huge weeping willow, but windstorms have broken off three or four huge branches during the last five years. That's bad enough, but then last year the utility company had tree surgeons trim about a third of the tree's branches, to keep them away from high voltage power lines. The tree is half what it was just a few years back. Kind of sad to me. Have a great upcoming week! Happy Flickr photographing. :-)

K2sleddogs I'm a day late and a dollar short responding, but here I am. Am re-thinking this. The log seems to weigh about two hundred pounds. Will have to think this over. Have a nice Tuesday, Kik! :-)
